Sonya is a senior at Texas A&M University, majoring in Biomedical Sciences with double minors in Business and Public Health. She will attend the Texas A&M Vashisht College of Medicine beginning in the fall of 2026. Sonya brings a blend of academic dedication and compassionate service to her role as an intern at The Elizabeth House. Her passion for maternal and community health drives her commitment to supporting the women and children in the program. Through her involvement, she hopes to deepen her understanding of holistic, people-centered care while contributing to initiatives that strengthen the well-being of families going through transitional housing. In her free time, Sonya enjoys traveling, staying active outdoors, and spending meaningful time with friends and family.
