About the House(s)

The Elizabeth House Maternity Home in Bryan / College Station, Texas provides expectant mothers and their children a safe, enriching and loving home.

We are more than just a shelter. Our mothers receive emotional, physical, psychological and spiritual support so that they have the tools they need to move forward toward a better life for themselves and their children.

We also support women who choose to place their child in a loving adoptive home. Women can live free of charge at The Elizabeth House Maternity Home through pregnancy and up to at least six months following the birth of their baby. They may bring up to two additional children, under the age of 6, with them into the home.

We have two homes in residential neighborhoods that remain confidential for the safety of our residents. Our houses are homes, with everything you would expect in a real household. We celebrate holidays, baby showers, and other events together and create a home and community

We pray that each mother who leaves The Elizabeth House has the life skills necessary to be a contributing member of the community.

  • The Elizabeth House Maternity Home was born in 2015 in Bryan/College Station as a direct result of the Planned Parenthood abortion facility being shut down here in Aggieland. Local Christians, energized by the victory over the abortion giant, quickly organized to form a maternity home. That’s how we locals view the Elizabeth House. It’s a visible reminder of the power of God working through ordinary people in our community to accomplish big things. God continues to transform the hearts and lives of mothers and their children - born and unborn - through the hearts and hands of staff and volunteers every day!

Since that time of explosive growth, our board and staff have worked hard to channel the high energy stage of a new organization that was just learning to take its unwieldy first steps - guiding it forward to next stage of maturity - to achieve the long term goal of always being ready to help mothers who are in crisis to create a better life for themselves and their children.

Real transformation - lasting change - is hard work. It’s not glamorous and it’s literally invisible to a world that puts emphasis on instant results and quick fixes. But that is exactly what we’ve been working on at Elizabeth House.
